Furniture Painting Courses in Topsham
I am very passionate about painting furniture, creating new textures and finishes and love to share my knowledge, so I have created the “Vintage Making Days” No experience is needed, this is a fun and relaxing day, helping you achieve a new skill, taking home your bespoke piece of furniture and hopefully this will inspire you to create more beautiful pieces.

About The Day
This is a one-day course from 10.00am to 3.30pm all materials are included, I use chalk paints which have a beautiful matt chalky texture and are very easy to work with. Refreshments and a light lunch are included. You will need to bring a small piece of furniture with you.
Your piece of furniture should be no more than 1 metre high and 50/60cm in width. A chair, occasional table, plant stand work well, however please ask if you are in doubt.
To help get the most from your day, I will send you a planning email prior to the course. You can let me know what you are painting, send me a picture via email, text or WhatsApp so I can see what your piece is. This will be really helpful for me to plan your piece with you, colour and use etc. Your piece will need to have been cleaned in advance. If you are using an old piece and painting a light colour, you may need to prime prior to the course. I can discuss this once you have decided on your piece and colour.
Comfortable shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty are a must! I do supply a complimentary “Vintage Maker” apron for you to use and take home.
What You Will Learn
We will be practising the paint wash and distressing on boards before you paint your piece.

Course Prices & Terms
The course is £130.00 inc vat for the day and will be held in Topsham. A £50.00 per person deposit is required when booking and the balance of payment is payable 7 days prior to your course date.
I will always do my best to accommodate date changes and cancellations, but ask for 3 weeks' notice to change a date. If you cancel within three weeks of your course date, the deposit is non-refundable, unless I can fill your space, or move you to a suitable date.
Once the full amount has been paid, 7 days prior to your course, 70% of the amount will not be refundable should you cancel, unless I can fill your space, change the date. Cancellations less than 24 hours will not be refundable, again unless I have someone who can fill your space and at short notice. Please always discuss with me in person to see how I can help.
